>Flavored with

That's such a weird saying. Does it have bacon in it? Do they use bacon flavoring? Do they cook bacon in it and then remove it? Presumably it's a legal thing, like how pringles have to be called crisps and not chips, so I guess there's no actual bacon in it

The chunky soups are all pretty good. I really like the progresso minestrone too. Some basic tomato basil with some bread or sandwiches is also pretty comfy.

Canned soup is such a blessing. Kept me fed through bouts of depression where I couldn't even work up the will to cook scrambled eggs, without making me feel like shit like instant noodles do.

USDA food laws are autistic as fuck. As long as it doesn't say artificial or natural after the standardly recognized ingredient name, AND the text describing it isn't less than 1/2 the text of the main label text size then it must be an actual ingredient. I wish I was joking.

I mean I'd rather that than have shit be like victorian england, where they'd just add boric acid to milk that had gone sour and resell it, causing people's spines to slowly melt. opr adding fucking plaster of paris or alum to bread which killed thousands of children

It's good they're serious about it because it would fucking suck to have to test everything you buy for poison that the jews would immediately jam in there to save money if they could

I'd agree, except nothing actually needs USDA or FDA approval for sale. Making the whole thing pointless. Look at how many people had fatal lung infections from vaping D8 and shit the past few years. Sure, junkies get what junkies deserve, but thinking that government regulatory bodies actually give a shit about human health is laughable. They're literally just a bunch of checklists that don't care. Ingredient proven to cause cancer yet we haven't been told to deny it? Yeap it's good.

erbswurst isn't that pea-soup or something? I would love to try that sometime, peas are really super great. I get Podravka soup-mix packets at my local produce mart (there is a discrete but influential Croatian community around this neighborhood, especially over the past 25 years). My favorite is the Cream of 9 Veg, one packet per liter of soup, and I'll add frozen peas or broccoli and cauliflower, and/or any mixed veg. Bring to a boil and simmer low for 20mins, then I like to use the immersion-blender to puree it a bit, ideally leaving a few good chunks still in there for some texture.

these new captchas are nutso, man, like distressing.

I'm hooked on the hearty new England clam chowder. Other than that, I picked up a lot of cans a couple weeks back when Publix was having a BOGO free sale with the Progresso soups. The cheddar broccoli soup was good but I really can't justify the sodium content in these canned soups
