You won't be able to have a rotating spit like you'll see in restaurants, but its totally serviceable. The meat is fairly simple, tzatiki is easy and everything else is just sliced on it

I moved away from Chicago 6 years ago and the Gyro remains the food item I miss most.

the meat is a mixture of beef and lamb. a lot more beef than lamb. like with a meatloaf, you get it tender by using a lot of breadcrumbs.

i got a gyro the other day from a place that always awesome,they changed the fucking meat to some frozen garbage,taste like shit....it looked like that
