some hot sauces are designed for flavour and can ruin a dish. I use dave's insanity sauce because it's not really a flavourant, it's just hot. it can get shat on for that, because it basically just tastes like lightly flavoured capsicum, but that also means you can add a small amount to food to make it spicy, with minimal change in the flavour of the dish.

So its become a game to make the spiciest hot sauces to push your limits, and to feel that nice high when it subsidizes.

Hot sauces are literally just ground up peppers in vinegar.
If a dish could use some pepper or vinegar a splash of hot sauce is nice. Heat is always a nice additional layer to your dish.
If you cant handle spicy food, just eat more spicy food. You will get used to it.
Dont buy meme hotsauces that are just stupid hot. They taste like dirt.

You want a flavorful and more mild hot sauce?
Barre none my favorite is Texas Petes if you can find it.
If not just Crystal or Franks Red Hot are both pretty fucking good too.
