Chimay Blue is splendid. Tripel Karmeliet ist lovely too but is now ABInBev-owned so I won't go near it.

It's not the issue with storaging, but with the inside of the aluminum can chemically reacting with the acidic beer (or with any other liquid in them).
If you think that there is no shitty chemical reaction being created there then I suggest giving some more thinking to it.
Glass bottles are the safest.
Aluminum cans are coated on the inside with a thin layer of some plastic. And I don't trust that shit not reacting with the beer inside the can.
That's why I never buy canned drinks. Glass bottles or I'm not buying.

>A lot of beer lovers aren’t too fond of the idea of drinking beer from a can. That has a lot to do with the past: not too long ago, untreated tin was used as packaging and the metal gave the beer a bad flavour. I for one am old enough to remember the awful metallic taste that tainted the canned food of my youth. It tasted like blood. But those days are over now, as there are various coatings inside the tin to prevent unwanted tastes.

https://www.alcoholprofessor.com/blog-posts/blog/2017/09/05/does-beer-taste-better-from-a-bottle-or-a-can
>Results from the blind taste test – when participants had no knowledge about the beers or where they came from – showed that there were no preferences for bottled or canned beer, one way or another. Nearly 45% of participants rated the canned beer better than the bottled, 41% of participants rated the bottled beer better than the canned, and close to 1.5% said they both tasted the same.

It's not the question of taste.
It's the question of chemical reactions between the inside lining of the aluminum beer can and the beer itself.

QUOTE:
But here’s the thing: Like most other commercially available cans, beer cans are lined with epoxy that contains bisphenol A (BPA), a chemical that keeps foods from reacting to aluminum,
but that has also become associated with a range of ailments, including cancer, reproductive trouble, and irregular brain development in kids.
BPA is well established as an endocrine-disrupting chemical, meaning that it likely causes hormonal damage at extremely low levels.

https://www.motherjones.com/food/2015/02/no-i-cant-why-im-turning-away-canned-craft-beer/

I JUST DON'T TRUST THAT SHIT PLASTIC LINING.
And that's why I decided not to buy and drink beer in aluminum cans.
You can do whatever you like. I give no shit.
Glass bottled beer has less selections than aluminum cans but I can deal with that.
Also I do U-Brewing and suits me just fine at the fraction of the cost compared to store bought beer.
I know, I know,... the taste is not the same, but that is not a big deal really.
Beer is in your mouth for few seconds then you swallow it and after an hour or so you piss it out.

QUOTE:
But BPA researcher Karin Michels, associate professor of epidemiology at Harvard, told me that she knows of no research that assesses
how much BPA actually makes it into our bodies from drinking canned beer.
She herself coauthored a 2011 study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, finding that a “group of volunteers who consumed a serving of canned soup each day for five days had a more
than 1,000 percent increase in urinary bisphenol A (BPA) concentrations compared with when the same individuals consumed fresh soup daily for five days,” as the Harvard press release put it.

A similar study by Korean researchers published in Hypertension found that on days when subjects drank canned soy milk, the BPA levels found in their urine surged by 1,600 percent,
and their blood pressure rose significantly, compared to days when they took their soy milk from bottles (not the first time that BPA has been associated with cardiovascular dysfunction).

You guys do as you wish. I don't see need to expose myself to that shit by drinking beer from aluminum cans.
There are two other options, buy only beer in glass bottles or do U-Brew.
Last year one of my fav beer brewer switched from glass bottles to aluminum cans and I stopped buying their beer.
And I really liked their beers, because they were made locally, no preservatives and no pasteurization. Two very important things for me in beer.
But I said Fuck it. Not supporting you anymore.

For those who drink import beers, I hope that you realize that it's loaded with preservatives, and if it's coming on the ship over the ocean,
it has extra doze of that shit to make the beer stable during the travel time.
Find local brewery and find out if they pasteurize their beer and if they add preservatives.
Harder to find not doing both, most breweries pasteurize and don't add preservatives.
