Palm corned beef
By far the best corned beef you can buy at a regular store. You can tell it's not over-processed because you can clearly see the texture. Whereas most other corn beef is almost paste-like

My brother said he found them at like a Total Wine or something similar for a lot of money several years ago, but I don't know if I believe that. You can have them shipped to you but it's like 40-50 bucks to have imported which isn't worth it. I have family in france ship a couple cans along with Christmas presents once a year

well its not like restaurant quality food but it's miles ahead of the usual canned shit cos the ingredients are so much better quality/more luxurious and also the novelty of it prob plays a part
Doubt you could get it in usual US groceries, maybe like a pricey specialty shop/delicatessen with a lot of imported stuff but it won't be cheap

Pork and Beans really has the texture and color such that nothing is lost by canning it. No part of it is fresh, nor light, nor a color other than brown. So that fact that it comes out as heavy brown mush seems fine.
