add parsley, vinegar and mustard to your mix, make sure to emulsify them first

where's the basil? you need basil to go along with the tomatoes and cheese
best layered like the italian flag. red, white, green

as for dressing, I like some balsamic on it, but olive oil can work if you're a lazy heathen

Just balsamic vinegar and oil you fucking retard flyover. I bet you're the type who puts chili on spaghetti or ranch on everything.

Where the fuck do you live?
They sell fully grown, potted herbs at walmart. I’ve seen fresh growing basil in grocery stores as well.

it should be pretty simple, equal parts of:
fresh basil leaves
fresh mozz
ripe tomatoes

drizzled over with extra virgin olive oil, and I always add it, but it's apparently optional to have balsamic vinegar. I like to use the real thing, so pay attention to your made in Modena labelling on the bottle, and even a reduction is nice. NOTHING MORE, unless you wish to salt the tomatoes, bit of cracked pepper...but no garlic, no oregano, etc. You're thinking bruschetta.

P.S. buy a live basil plant...just add water to it when you're making your morning coffee...it'll keep itself replenshing the leaves for literal years.
