I broke down and just called my local McDoanld's and begged them to sell me a basket of fries before 10:30am. They told me no.
I fucking hate breakfast. No one needs to eat breakfast, just start your day with lunch.

the reason they don't do fries and hash browns at the same time is because the oil is a different temp for hash browns. i don't remember if it's hotter or cooler, though. if you absolutely must have fries in the morning, make yourself some shoestring fries in advance, flash fry them, freeze them, then refry them later when you're ready to eat them. it takes like an hour of prep to make a huge stock of them, and like 10 minutes of work later down the line when you actually want to eat them.
