why is japanese cuisine so hilariously bad?
the main staple dish of nipponland is sushi which is literally just fish on rice
their curry is just watered soup
ramen is just inferior version of authentic Chinese noodles
even instant noodles is taiwanese (Chinese) and not from japan

why could the nips not make a satisfactory cuisine?

They're so good but they're almost TOO cheap. I can pick up a huge box of them for pracitcally nothing and I get so sick of them. As far as fried noodles go, I like buying the refrigerated/frozen bags of just the noodles and the sauce packet. All it needs are vegetables and meat, and the sauce/noodles are loads better than instant for slightly more work.

>> No.16099992

>>16099984
Are there multiple sauce packets? That's a lot of noodles to make at once, or maybe it's just the perspective. I usually add meat and veg to my goreng anyways, but those definitely look higher quality

>> No.16100012

>>16099992
yeah they're 1:1 with sauce packets to noodle packs (individually portioned, each enough for a big plate). Pretty good flavor variety too, there was a curry sauce one I had recently. You gotta be kinda careful though, some cheap-out and use normal dry seasoning sauce but others are wet sauce/multiple.

Lots of same-old-same-old answers, ITT

Tried this out a little while back. Decent, but expensive. Good noodle quality, decent flavor and texture, ample veggie pack. Not really all that much "bean" flavor to it, but whatever, I haven't been around to see if it's been posted in other threads

Turns out they're pretty good if you put in some of your own veggies. Dunno why it took me so long to realize, but I guess it helps that I have a lot of frozen pies, spring onions and even carrots that I can literally just grab out the freezer and toss into the broth. bretty gud

I'd say more than 3 a week is excessive. Also depends on what else you eat. If you generally eat like shit then you probably shouldn't be eating instant ramen at all, not that somebody who eats like shit would care anyway. If you eat an otherwise (relatively) healthy diet then I wouldn't be too worried. Instant noodles are one of the few garbage foods that I can't resist and eat somewhat regularly. I generally avoid sugar so I don't feel too bad about it.

Here’s 6 for $12, assuming you’re an ameribro. Since it’s a ‘good’ Cup Noodle, you aren’t gonna find it for cheaper, even in an Asian store.
Granted it isn’t the “BIG” curry cup noodle, but we don’t get that in murrica. Same as we don’t get the superior Curry-Cheese flavor from Japan.

This one is great, spicy and delicious. I spent some time trying to replicate it with my own spices, but it's difficult to get exactly right since there's like onion, garlic, 12 spices (red pepper, cumin, coriander, fenugreek, star anise, fennel, black pepper, cardamom, tumeric, ginger, nutmeg, paprika) + MSG, IG, salt, sugar, palm oil, and some sort of acid.
