I have a lifehack to save money by not eating fast food. So, sometimes when I am out and about I get suddenly hungry and end up getting fast food. Anywhere from $2-5. But for the last month, I have just kept a few cans of beans in the car and a spoon. Haven't eaten fast food since. A can of beans is the perfect amount to keep hunger away but not give you a post meal crash like other foods. And it is delicious.

There is a video somewhere about an australian dude that ate his own weight in canned beans and ran a marathon or something.

You don't need to heat them up. They are delicious right out of the can. No heat needed, that is what "they" don't want you to know. I like navy beans, baked beans, black beans and lima beans. Really any bean is fine.

I did this with chef boyardees to stop binge eating fast food. Eventually I got myself to associate binge eating with the taste of cold canned ravioli and was able to stop.

Canned food stays good indefinitely as long as the seal is good. When it is canned, it is heated up until all microorganisms are killed. Tastes great and perfectly safe.
