So, I cooked about 5lbs of hamburger meat with taco seasoning, and put it in the freezer. My freezer ran too cold and it was a solid ice brick, so I had to re-cook it to use it.
How long is the re-cooked meat going to last in the fridge? I know I can't re-freeze it again.

two days, tops.

Alright, figured. Going to have to freeze it in individual clumps next time. It was just one big solid brick.
Looks like I'm eating tacos for breakfast/lunch/supper for the next two days.

just refreeze what you want after it thaws.

I bought meat that was expiring in a few days at a much cheaper price, so I cooked it all at once. I normally wouldn't cook this large amount.

If you didn't drain much of the grease, that's pretty much how you can expect any freezer to freeze a bin of meat. The only way to avoid that would be to drain your fats and also cook the shit out of the beef to the point that it's likely too dry to enjoy.

Portion your frozen shit. Super simple stuff, kitchenlet.

I understand they're arbitrary, but in reality things only last for so long.
