happens constantly in fast food, too. canadian a&w used to have the most godlike fries out there. they also used to use foil bags for their burgers - so much better than the wax shit they use today. the entirety of the tim horton's franchise has fallen to complete shit. all their stuff is made from frozen now, the coffee is SHIT, the sandwiches are terrible because their bread is no longer good and cuts the roof of your mouth, and the soups are okay at best. the chili is the only redeemable thing on the menu.

you can even see the change in who they hire. tim horton's used to be staffed by middle-aged to senior white women who would serve you decent food with a smile. now you have to deal with a filipino or some other type of asian.
