The perfect burger will never have just one condiment it will be a mixture of a few of them and some spices.

Anyway there is no "Perfect" burger the whole appeal of a burger is that you can make it to suit your tastes. Sure you can line it up really nice but making a burger perfect just takes so much away from the greatness that it is.

Not sure when it started it could be old, but I've heard retarded youtube cooks claim that the salad catches the burger juices and prevents the bun from getting soggy.

That may be true in some cases, but I highly suspect it's not an original idea and the reason why it isn't standard constructions is because it has a severe flaw in that it causes the entire tasting apparatus in your mouth to come into contact with lettuce and shit instead of beef when you take a bite and that just makes it not taste as good during the initial biting and chewing stages of consumption. What's worse, a greasy bun or a bland bite?

get rid of the cheese and one of the patties add ketchup (small amount) and mayo.

the only condiment that should go on a burger is a thin layer of mayo to compliment the meat, not overpower it.
