That's a fairly small amount of Pizza Hut for an average-sized person, I'd say? The main reason fast-food cooks so fast and "lasts" so short is that there isn't much density to it. I wouldn't WANT to eat an entire deep dish pizza in that timeframe, but I could easily.

Pizza hut realized that they could either sell a pizza with sauce and cheese and toppings for $12.00 or sell dough with s
1 cent of shit sprinkled on top for $7 or $8. So they started building that into combo boxes. This whole thing might cost $20-22. They could sell that quantity of pizza but a $12 pizza might be $3 in ingredients to them. If they sell you $10 of seasoned dough it might cost them $1 in ingredients, so they'd much rather sling flavored dough than actual pizzas if people are willing to accept it.
