based and Islaypilled, you've got best Octomore 7.3, and even Meller Corn. Plus I've heard the Signatory Edradour releases are an amazing value sherry bomb. How does it compare to that Aberlour A'bunadh? Also if you like Bunnahabhain you should try Bruichladdich Classic Laddie. You're probably already a fan if you own an Octomore though.

Also you really need a quality Irish instead of just Jameson. Redbreast 12 Cask Strength is your best option under $100 even though I know it gets parroted a lot. Writer's Tears, Redbreast Lustau, or Green Spot are all good options around $60. If you want to stay budget with Irish, Bushmill's Black Bush is way better than Jameson (more malt, less grain) at a similar price point.

Are they scotch equivalent of an american hipster beer brewery that gives its beer quirky names to stand out?

I've had a bottle each of the 10, the uigeadail, and the corryvrekan, and I didn't enjoy any of them. Their cold campfire peat is too simple and too strong to the point that it makes smelling or tasting any of the fruit or vanilla flavors a struggle.

Alcohol not only tastes like shit, alcohol culture is full of idiots who ate too brainwashed to realize they're idiots. Every person I ever met that drank alcohol, even socially, was a disgusting shit that had no honor, no integrity, no loyalty, no respect, and no self respect. While I'm sure there are exceptions, I've never met any. Even the so called reputable ones betray their friends and loved ones in some manner within a year or two of them having their first alcoholic beverage. Take my former friend Karl for example. He was a really great guy. He was decent, honorable, and well respected. Right out of highschool he started drinking socially. Eventually he became a backstabbing, thieving, evil piece of shit. I wasn't just the alcohol that changed him. It was also the culture that surrounds alcohol. ...and he's only one of literally thousands of such individuals I've known. Each person was fairly decent...until they fell in with the "social drinkers". Alcohol turns formerly intelligent and interesting people into utter retards and faggots.

Lagavulin tastes like smoked oysters. If I wanted to taste smoked oysters, I'd buy a tin of smoked oysters at the dollar store. At least Ardbeg and Laphroaig offer flavors I can't find at the dollar store. Fuck Lagavulin.

I have this same issue with bourbon. The least boring to me was four roses single barrel but everything else was like drinking pancake syrup with a touch of banana.

I'm really hoping they start distributing the 70cl bottles in the US so theres more availability even if the price is at least staying where it is now. Apparently the tariffs arent gone, but only frozen and the catch for the higher availability will be at the cost of the tariff being permanently instated. I vote "Taxation is theft."

Not him but in Texas anything BT is difficult to find. Regular BT itself is the easiest, I have also come across Eagle Rare literally once in the past two years. Taylor, Blanton's, is non-existent.

That being said I finally did get Blanton's. Brother-in-law gifted it to me. He won't tell me how he got it but he knows a lot of people.

I would say it's been a fantastic bottle too. But Rare Breed is probably my go-to. Great taste, great value, easy to find.
