I kind of have a similar problem, but it is less age and more that over the years, I've developed online friendships that are way more involved with my (lame and gay) hobbies and interests than I have every found IRL. Not that I can't or will refuse to hang out with people, but I can only name ~3 people in the entire United States that I've met so far IRL who operate on nearly the exact same frequency as me, so most other relationships feel like I'm giving a lot and receiving little.
Which is not anyone else's fault, but it just makes me uninterested in most IRL interaction beyond what is necessary.
