I get eggs from my farmers market and they don't separate white/brown, so I get both.

The guys I buy my eggs from also have heritage turkies for thanksgiving that I buy.

I've been to their farm, I've seen their chickens, and their turkies.

I use Beaks' eggs. My neighbor, J. Beaks, gives me his extra eggs in exchange for my fresh honey bread every morning when we meet up at the post office. They are brown, blue, green and fresh.

I grew up raising chickens. There's no discernable difference between most super market eggs. Freshness and a chicken's diet matter, but assume that if you're buying eggs from anywhere but a farm that you're getting the same thing

i used to work at a sort of independent retailer that got our eggs from local farms but we got them in big flats
when we put them into cartons, we would mix together the white and brown eggs despite getting the colors in different flats because our customers would buy them more if they were mixed

white eggs come from a breed of chicken that uses less resources to the amount of eggs produced, apart from that they taste exactly the same. Use eggs from your own chickens though if you can.

I only buy brown eggs because when I was a kid my mom refused to buy them

I've noticed that brown eggs break better with a far less chance of a shell bit falling into the pan. But white eggs are cheaper here in Canada so I usually just get them.

I come from a Jamaican family on both sides and I had a notoriously racist great uncle who absolutely despised white people. My mom would never tell me exactly why besides the basic “white people back then would fuck over the islanders” which would explain a lot but didn’t account for the sheer petty hatred my great uncle had. Here’s a few of his exploits against the Yakubian race in his many years as a Jamaican Fisherman.

He went to America, worked, and went back to the island with a good amount of savings so he retired in a gated community back there. I always wondered what he would think of my white girlfriend of 3 years if he was alive to meet her. Then again, that’s no different a thought of wondering how good of a bait her fingers would probably be. But yeah, he didn’t like white eggs.
