I come from a Muslim background but always had a detachment from religion.

Recently, I've tried bacon.
This thing got to be the most overrated piece of meat.
People were selling it like this shit came from the heavens and would change my view on everything.
Nothing special about the taste, SUPER FKING EXPENSIVE for absolutely no fucking reason(literally one of the easiest animal to grow) and overall a D tier (and im generous) cut of meat.

On the other hand, i tried pulled pork from one of my friends. He did it with Dr. Pepper and BBQ. Now that was fucking good and barely a fraction of the price.

First time I tried bacon I didn't like it.
Then it grew on me pretty hard.

I generally use it in cooking rather than eating it on its own. I also save the fat from it for culinary uses.

Bacon is overrated as fuck. Basic bitches cream themselves over it and Big Ballers use that shit as an ingredient like you would anchovies. Stay mad foodlets and cooklets.

Three questions:
1. Do you live in America
2. If not American did you have streaky bacon or bacon rinds
3. Did you cook it yourself (if so, how)
Not disagreeing that bacon is overrated as fuck (see: Reddit), but it’s pretty nice, high C tier low B tier imo, if cooked correctly and the right type of bacon. It’s generally only really good as something to complement another food. Bacon bits in a Caesar salad, bacon and eggs, BLT sandwich etc. Its not good enough to stand on its own, but paired well it can elevate a dish.

Faggit I just said as an ingredient. I just posted in your Deenz thread. I'm going to tell your mother about this.

I was lucky enough to try it 3 ways;
Normal, with cinnamon (which is the one i liked the most) and pepper.

It was just disappointing over all. Also i come from canada and from what i read we have really good pork.

Don't know the difference. Bought them from a grocery store.
What is the difference?

Kek, I thought you were a Type II BSA for a moment there. It's clear that you're just a good old fashioned BSA.
There a few different cuts. I know 3. Streaky which Americans call bacon, middle bacon which Americans call rasher bacon, and shoulder bacon which Americans call Canadian bacon. I'm probably full of shit though, I'm a bit buzzed.

Meant rashers. This is the difference. Back bacon (or bacon rashers) are less fatty and therefore less flavourful and more akin to ham. Like it’s fine but the ideal is streaky bacon, cooked enough that it gets really crispy.

Imagine not being able to appreciate a slice of crispy pan-fried belly bacon. Go be a contrarian somewhere else.

If you bought bacon from the supermarket you haven't had real bacon.
