the dishwasher is the quintessential noble savage. he has no need for intellect, living only by the strength of his body, and so is not weighed down by philosophical questions like "whose fault is this" and "is this my responsibility." the dishwasher sees a dish, he washes it, and then proceeds to the next dish. if he falls behind, rather than yelling or spitting in food, he simply puts the excess plates into the trash can, and calmy covers them with paper towels. he needs no great riches or vast harem or deeper understanding of life. he is satisfied with loud music and an hourly cigarette. truly, he lives a happier life than any of us, and in this way, perhaps he has outsmarted us all
