Do most of you even try to cook well?

No, and apparently you don't either.

Kinda, cooking is not one of my main hobbies, but I try to put at least some effort in.

Also Hugel Gentil is always solid.

sometimes, sometimes just lazy shit like this half-assed pizza, sauteed seafood, or pressure cooker risotto.
When I try it's still just basic foods like curries and stews and take little extra steps like using whole spices and toasting+grinding them rather than pre-ground, and using high flavor cuts like shank and pressure cooking to get em done in a reasonable amount of time.

looks good but you're just a home cook so you have as much authority as those you look down on when it comes to cooking

I can cook well, but most of the time I can't be bothered, so I just throw together some semi decent tasting sloppa
Sometimes I'll put in the effort to make something decent
But day to day I just can't be fucked

Big Papa Sloppa here, I do.

I made goat curry for dinner tonight, this is an old pic but I made it pretty much the same way.

If you're going to try, try harder. Your vegetable to meat ratio is poor too.

>that plate
you're either retarded or so lazy you choose a plate that's too small for your food so you have less surface area to clean, which would also make you retarded. Beautiful steak though.

Now that's an accurate question, I cook every day from scratch but I'll admittedly rush some steps, I saute things a bit less time than I should, don't fully wait until the wine is reduced, etc. But I don't always suffer from it, it seems that a lot of steps only lead to diminishig returns, and you don't always have to strike for perfection.
