If you go to Red Lobster and you don't get a shrimp scampi you're missing out on the best food item on the menu.
IMO the sides are all dogshit, so don't waste belly space eating the dry pilaf or the simultaneously too buttery and utterly unseasoned broccoli. I just ordered carryout from there a few weeks back and they had these delicious seafood stuffed mushrooms, would rec. I'm always down for snow crab legs or coconut shrimp from anywhere. Ask what the catch of the day is if you'd prefer fish to shellfish; they do a pretty good preparation on orange roughy.

It's just a gimmicky phrase. In any case it's owned by a large national corporation, their fish rotation is planned and no less fresh than any of the other shit on the menu. No need to pretend to be an uppity cunt when we're talking about Red Lobster.

Red Lobster has huge peaks and valleys quality-wise depending on who owns it and what the season is like. It's changed hands more than the town bike.
Haven't been in years, but I was very let down the last time which was probably 4 years ago.

Lobster tail
Crab legs
Shrimp scampi
Breaded fried shrimp

The quality has suffered over the last 10-15 years, unfortunately.

Red lobster in canada is fucking pristine good food. If youre an americuck it might be a different story, as your lobsters might not be fresh.

The crab buns are really good. THe admirals feast or something is really good. Also the shrimps are good.

I used to love the hush puppies, then they were off the menu replaced with that biscuit with Old Bay seasoning, which was just about a C- or D+. I asked and they brought me some hush puppies... But that was a while ago, and don't know if still possible to order them.

It's not top quality, but it's also not as bad as people say. I eat there every now and again when somebody is inevitably gifted a gift card to eat there, it's basically on the same tier as Olive Garden. The food is obviously not all fresh, and only a couple notches above fast food really, but it still tastes just fine.

I got this for dinner last night actually. The crab legs were kinda small but still tasty. Same with the lobster tail. The fried shrimp and the scampi were really good. The real winner was the brussel sprouts I chose as a side. They were delicious.

Used to work there, most food is frozen and cooked by spics. Salmon is decent. Cheddar bay biscuits are cooked by a stoner in the back. Sides are typically flash steamed similar to using a microwave, so whatever is good steamed pick that shit.

>> No.15668647

Pretty much all of it's good. They got lobsterfest going on so maybe get the one that's 2 lobster tails and a lobster linguine.

>> No.15668668

Last time I ate here was probably around 6 years ago and it was complete shit. If you get something safe like fried shrimp you'll probably be alright. On that last visit I ordered fish and chips thinking there's no way you can fuck up fried fish that badly. Nope, the fish was tough and chewy and the breading was soggy. I don't even know how they accomplished that.

It really depends where you get it from.
Where I grew up was a very white place and very conservative and the Red Lobster, though not "fancy," was one of the fancier places to go and was always very quality.
Now I live in a city and the situation is quite different, and I'm lucky to get warm food if I go.

hte cheese biscuits are of course great. i had the caprese salad, it was good. i always just get grilled trout, cause i love grilled trout. all that lobster/crab/shrimp crap seems like its about status and showing off. they dont taste that great.even scallops are overhyped. i love trout and salmon. i get a GC occasionally from my mother in law, so i dont pay. its not my idea of eating out.

but i'm 10/10 percent sure someone has already said this. everything else is just industrial cooking mediocre, farmed seafood. once you reach the perfect replication of a food product, you don't have to deviate far from that standard to maintain standards of quality. 1 or 2 sets of king crab claws and the boomer across fro the bar from you will complain to the manager whose held on a corporate leash to maintain every single possible review from every customer possible to avoid being compared to Long John Silvers.

I worked expo at red lobster for a few months. I was appalled mostly by the way pasta was made.
>noodles cooked and portioned into plastic baggies
>sauce microwaved and portioned into cups
>both microwaved when ordered
>handed to me through the window
>pulled noodles out of bag and set on the plate
>shake up cup with sauce
>pour over noodles
>sprinkle parsley
>charge $25
I dont know for sure, but im convinced olive garden does their pasta the same way. Feel free to AMA

What's the deal with niggers and red lobster? They think it's the epitome of fine dining or something.
OP, make sure you don't go to a black lobster. black lobster's are notoriously shitty and they will spit in your food for being a yt.
