They also all taste better fried in tallow.

Vegans talk about how great their food is. They act like meat eaters can't eat plants like its forbidden like in their religion.

I feel bad for vegans. I grew up with one. Very abusive human being who lacked any sort of empathy whatsoever. I strongly believe they became vegan to try to compensate for said lack of empathy instead of trying to just be kind to other people. They literally think the best way to be kind is to just not eat something.

Also most vegans cheat on their diet. It drives them insane with guilt whenever they nourish themselves with foods their bodies are craving, and they are constantly tempted and have to look at tons of animal torture porn to try to continue on with their shitty deficient diet. They have no idea that they are literally making animal abuse profitable, and people are paying people to abuse animals for stupid vegans who need fresh animal torture porn.

I know you're trying to be funny, but you are being incredibly unhelpful right now.

Being vegan requires a massive lifestyle change that takes into consideration not only what we eat, but how, and where does it come from.

If we all keep going through this path of rampant consumerism and gluttony, the planet won't be able to take it much longer, and then we'll have to bear the brunt of the consequences of catastrophic climate change, loss of habitat for wild life and the end of many species.

We must all work together to ensure that the planet can not only survive, but also thrive. And for that, we have to change our relationship with food.

The use of spices can always bring some more life to our dishes, and we'll be sure that we're eating something that is not only delicious, but more importantly, cruelty-free.

Grow. the. fuck. up.

>> No.15661961

>>15661923
First off, the planet is doomed no matter what we do, so is humanity.

Second, veganism will never stop that trajectory. There are plenty of vegans, in fact many of them, which are wasteful and hyper consumers. Just look at all the instagram vegan whores who blow all their money on unnecessary bullshit and fly around everywhere and eat nothing but processed and imported foods.

I completely agree that we need to reconnect with our food. But wouldn't the pursuit of food sovereignty and supermarket independence be a better way to go about that?
It's very difficult to be a glutton when you are living off of what you grow/raise.

Also wtf are you on with the cruelty free bullshit. It's pretty cruel to kill 50 billion bees per year for almonds, to wipe out certain species of animals for palm, to overuse water for tons of fruit, to spray pesticides everywhere, to mine for artificial fertilizers, to use monkeys for coconuts, to burn womens fingers off for cashews... is it cruel to employ tens of thousands of domesticated ducks for rice to ensure that chemical pesticides don't ruin the water?

I don't know. Cruelty free to me is just a fucking label cooperation's will put on their product to get your dollar.

Being vegan is retarded. Most of their food is grown with blood and bone meal, plus the cultivation of monocrops to feed their demand for meme food is causing more harm to the environment than anything else. That and the environmental impact of transporting meme ingredients from around the world.

I repeat: being vegan is retarded, stupid and should be looked as a sign of a personality disorder.

My mom called me last night to ask for help coming up with something to serve at an upcoming family potluck. I have a huge, very close-knit family and gatherings can easily have 50+ people. Recently, one cousin went vegan and is now demanding absolutely everything be vegan-friendly. So, no cheese or dairy or meat ingredients in any dishes besides whatever my uncles will be grilling for 50 people. Even I was hard-pressed to come up with a dish that would please 50 people, could serve as a main or a side and is completely vegan that a 60 year old woman could make and present to a family of working class normies. I personally like plenty of vegan dishes, but this is retarded. If you're vegan, bring your own dish to the potluck. There will inevitably be vegetables, salad, etc there too. The idea that one person gets to dictate what can be served to the detriment of 49 other people is idiotic. My aunt has been a vegetarian all my life and never once has asked anyone do anything like this.

In the end I told my mom aloo gobi would be something tasty, pretty easy, filling, inexpensive, could act as a main or a side and the only really new spice she'd absolutely need to get is garam masala. I also sent her my recipe for butternut squash soup, but this is why people hate vegans. I dont care that you dont eat animal products. Everyone else does and its ridiculous that you expect everyone around you to bend over for you. Pack a fucking cucumber sandwich if you're that fussed that you might accidentally die of cheese touch.

No, there aren't.

Organic farming gets most of its fertiliser from bone and blood meal, plus waste compost, which takes a lot longer to produce. It's either that or chemical ones, which aren't classified as organic.

You simply know shit about farming.

>You mean gigantic soybean farms for cattle feed?

Soybeans for cattle feed??? What the fuck are you smoking. The grain of choice for cattle is corn. My nextdoor neighbor raises beef cows and feeds them corn, alfalfa, pasture, and hay. I know this because he uses our property to grow his cows crops. But tell me again how far its transported compared to your quinoa, goji berry, avocado smoothie you had this morning with your multivitamin.

Soy is mostly fed to livestock in the form of soybean meal, a byproduct of soy oil production.

Clearly you don't know much on the subject

All the fertilizer for my garden came from my property in the form of duck shit/eggs, food scraps, lawn clippings, dead leaves, whatever I can find. And it turns out just like people the soil and crops thrive on an omnivorous diet.
You are trying to say that animals existing is inefficient. You are absolutely ridiculous. What is inefficient is our convenience obsessed hyperconsuming globalized industrialized food wasting society. I was just talking about how fucked up it is the way our food system is regulated to purposefully suppress small farmers. You fucking moron. You have no idea how fucked up shit is. Did you know there are only 800 usda processing facilities in this country? Compare that to fucking 13,000 mcdonalds. It's actually safer and better to go to a non usda inspected facility because they process less animals. But I wouldn't get poultry from anywhere but what I slaughter and process anyways. Plant based fertilizer without the aid of unsustainable artificial fertilizer or animal fertilizers is not going to give you a good crop yeild. And when growing my own food I need as much as I can get.

My animals are a blessing to my garden. And in fact they encourage me to plant more trees. Shade and outdoor protection is crucial for the welfare of my animals.

This is not a planet of just humans and plants. It evolved based on millions of complex symbiotic relationships with plants, animals, fungi, and bacteria. In order to coax out the most fertility we MUST use all these kingdoms working in harmony. There is no way around it. We do not live on a vegan planet. Get over it.

Living in the city being a blind consumer just means you are part of the problem. You are just as bad as your meat eating counterpart. Monocrops and factory farmed livestock are both shit.
