When I worked retail, if customers came in as we were closing the doors, my boss would flat out ignore the customer and do the absolute bare minimum customer service.

When I worked in a restaurant we had a sign that says the kitchen stops taking orders 30 minutes before closing. If you came in at 8:30 and wanted something, fuck of you had all damn day to get something.

Where I work now we'll just up and close the kitchen at like 8pm if it's been slow as shit and keep the bar open late. Someone comes in after the kitchen is closed - you can have potato chips from the bag, that'll be $5.50.
