Powdered strawberry filled. The closest donut place that carries them without special ordering is 45 minutes away and there are like 50 donut shops around. Seems like a strange one for nobody to carry

Any. Those fuckers are my kryptonite. I have them maybe 3 times a year but every time I do, I will pick off 5 or so from a pile. Something about the texture of the dough and icing hits a spot in my brain that no other dessert does.

As i've grown older, i've really grown to appreciate cake donuts that are actually well done, above yeast. Yeast is better than the majority of your 'fast food' donuts you'll get from the overpriced spots like Krispy Kreme or DD, but an actually well made cake donut is light and sweet.

Likewise, the older I get the more I appreciate them plain. Non frosted. The caramalized fried surface and sweetness of the dough is sufficient.

So for me, it's what you posted - sans the frosting and the blueberries. Just plain ass, well done cake hoops.
