Would you think it queer if I started bringing my insulated grocery bag into the store with me for cold items while I shop? Do you do this? Do young nubile teens and preteens do this?

I usually just load up the insulated bag in the car, but it seems to make more sense to bring it in with me. Thoughts?

I think the conventional, not faggy way to execute this is to put cold stuff in your cart as usual and then bag into the insulated bag at the register.

This.

I suppose that makes sense, but does increase the exposure to warm temps some. Yeah its easier taking things out of the cart not insulated bag.

That may have been good at one time, but since the china flu there are walkways you must follow. You can't just go back to an area if you forget something without going out the door.

I don't do this, because all my food arrives at my door in a refrigerated van.

Poor soul. What a terrible waste. I'm sorry dude, hopefully you can rectify your situation once things get back to normal. You are missing all the little girls in Elsa dresses flashing you pulling on her garments. Also new things you haven't tried and seeing neighbors and friends at the market. I could never give that up. And pay more too? And waste some guys time? Haha, never.

>> No.15641216

It's $1.50, yo. That's 1000% worth the hour it would take to shop myself.

Eh? There's a muuuch wider selection of stuff online than in any one given store.
>waste some guys time?
Guys who are.. employed full time to do just that?

What is 1.50? Shipping and handling isn't that cheap. Most of the time the websites prices are inflated. You can't honestly tell me they are charging just 1.50 for some dude to go collect it from the store, give it to a driver and driver deliver it to you. That's silly.

Anyways, we are getting off topic about the insulated bags.

it's not an uncommon sight, considering more and more states are planning to charge customers for plastic bags. but come on op, the grocery store is not the internet, no one is going to judge you for carrying around a grocery bag. actually caring about what strangers think about you is without a doubt one of the most faggot things ever.

>> No.15641498

Not carrying, I just thought it would be useful to have the bag in my cart open to put cold stuff in instead of waiting until I get to the car.

Ehh, fuck everyone else as well in the store, you can conform but Ill just fuck everything up for everyone!

What a nice fellow you are. When you are in any establishment, you follow the rules of the proprietor or you fuck off and do it/find it yourself. lol.

I just didn't know if it was improper or not. Some groceries take offense if I open carry. I rarely see others actually carrying insulated bags. Cheap ones yeah now and then but not insulated. Also with the fake china cough thing a year ago it may make people nervous.

It would be neat if we had these things around our house so when we light the fire, all the heat doesn't go out the wood planks in winter. Styrofoam bubble wrap does wonders against the hard wall and windows.

I used to see people bring the cooler bag in.
Then, there was a shoplifting problem, and people forgot to bring all their cold items out to be scanned.

In retaliation, the store no longer allows people to place items in bags before checking out; you're supposed to leave your carrier bags folded flat and empty while shopping.

I saw a couple pushing around a shopping cart covered in what looked like foil the other day. It was in one of those Amazon Fresh places, so I don't know if they were using it to protect their goods from evil radio waves, COVID, or some other shit.

iirc lining a bag with metal will prevent those shoplifting alarms from going off. So if you live in a shithole like I do (the entire state of California) and you go to one of those shithole stores (dollar general) you might get some looks. I suppose, I'm not sure if the insulating material of one of those boxes will even work but you might look weird doing it.
Why bother anyway? The only time I've considered something to be temperature sensitive was fresh fish I get off the pier which is generally boxed with ice or dry ice in styrofoam.

Nah bringing your own bag isn't queer, but I do not bother to bring a bag with me most of the time
I also never had any grocery spoil in the car so I don't see the need for a insulated bag, unless you live in a dessert
