I used to work at a JJ's. The biggest determination of whether I get a delicious sandwich or a shit sandwich is the bread. Usually the manager knows how to cook it properly, but a lot of the other fags there do not. For the best tasting sandwich, ask if they have any bread that's still warm out of the oven (after 3pm this is very unlikely), because it will not have solidified into solid rock yet.

Why is your bread so damn good? The only chain that gets that snappy/chewy bread. Even Jersey Mike's can't get the bread just right.

Working there was a lot of fun, because everybody who worked there was smoking weed and the manager let us eat free food every shift even though it wasn't allowed. It's still basically fast food tier but less corporatized than you might expect.
Do NOT order the sprouts because food-born illnesses are not a meme and my coworkers who liked sprouts testified that they got sick almost every time they ate them. Sprouts literally grow from feces so fast food sprouts are not to be trusted. Also I'd be a little weary of the tuna mix because it sits for an extended period of time due to it's unpopularity.
The bread gets taken out of the freezer to thaw, gets fluffy in the proofer, and then baked in the oven. If the employee doesn't fuck up this very simple process the bread turns out pretty good. If they fuck it up your shit will be dry and inedible but they'll sell it to you anyway and just add extra mayo to make up for this. If you want to eat at JJ's past 4pm just get the wheat bread because it's in a sealed container and doesn't dry out as fast.

Bread quality is important. I worked there too for a year, and in that time, I got the #10 Hunter's Club a lot. I noticed that the beef quality was very volatile. Sometimes too dry, sometimes just perfect. The perfect ones were usually slightly red and juicier and made a whole world of difference
