I use Forks Over Knives meal planner to make my meals throughout the week. Basically, they give you a bunch of recipes every week. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also throw in snacks and deserts if you want them. The meals are fucking surprisingly delicious. And if you want to eat really clean, something like this really keeps you going since you're eating things you want to eat and it does the planning for you, including shopping lists for the week. I am not a shill. I don't give a shit about this company. I am mainly asking one thing.
What does /ck/ do to plan out their meals? What diets do you like to eat? Are you successful in meal planning?

Going on a "diet" is a trap because it fools you into thinking there's some defined endpoint to where you can go back to being a hambeast.

I just shop with ideas for 3-4 meals in mind, pick up what I need, and top off any staples like oil, flour, spices, sauces, etc. I don't really have to calorie count or weigh or measure because I can consistently eyeball it. If my workouts suffer, I can add some easy carbs, if I'm getting too smooth I can trim off any snacks.

I am not talking about going on a diet. I am talking about managing your literal diet. What you like to eat. Your do's and don't do's. I never follow anything to strictly. I just eat this way because it feels and tastes good. Fuck those 90 day bullshit attempts. I am talking your diet as an animal like how a lion or monkey has a diet.

So you go shopping like once a week with that? That sounds like a good way of doing things. I used to go every 2 days and I hated that. I didn't have good enough of a working cooking skill to know what I would make so many meals ahead.

I have the same ingredients in the house pretty much all the time, and I have lots of things I know how to make out of them. So I pretty much choose on the day or the day before what I'll be eating. I usually do a 'main' meal either at supper time or post training or whenever I feel it best to eat my largest, hottest and most meat/fish based meal of the day.

My shopping list is basically:
- Weekly Stuff: chicken, lean minced meats, tinned tuna, cottage cheese, eggs, cheese, oats, lots and lots of fresh and frozen vegetables of differnt kinds, apples (I have orchard grown still in storage), pickeled gherkins.

- As needed to stock up: nuts, treats like black pudding, sausages, special cheese, tea, coffee, frozen veg, tinned tomatoes, decent jarred pasta sauce, herbs, fish sometimes, more expensive meats, honey, dried fruit, dried beans/chickpeas, rice, barley, sauces and spreads.

I make the same meals every day for work, with only a day a week I'll do something different. Mostly I eat chicken, tuna, veg in various forms, chickpeas, cottage cheese, oats, eggs and minced meat. Just lots of variations on a theme.

Yep, I always have staples to build meals around. I always have potatoes, rice, and beans. My most commonly used meats are chicken breasts, ground beef, and fish fillets. So much of what I eat uses aromatics like onion and garlic, plenty of veg (carrots, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, spinach), and I always keep a couple of varieties of fruit on hand. Those are my basics.

From there, I consider variety. Maybe I want ham instead of ground beef, or I'm feeling southern and want some red beans and rice so I'll pick up some andouille. If I'm getting bored with my current veggie rotation, I'll get some green beans or some beets to roast or some brussels sprouts. Chinese this week? Great, I'll get some bok choy and some bean sprouts and make sure I check my fridge to see if I'm low or out of any of the sauces I use.

Variety and flexibility is big for me. Some people, on say "chicken night," will always serve it with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a bag of steamed veg. But sometimes I'll throw together a pilaf, or I'll roast some sweet potatoes, or I'll serve it over plain rice with a vegetable stir fry, or turn it into chicken katsu. But as long as I've got my staples, I know I can put together any number of ideas in a pinch.

You DO know that vegetables, even so-called organic ones, are grown with the help of BONE meal and BLOOD meal, correct?

Forks over knives is such a stupid fucking name.

Knives are way more useful than forks. There's a reason forks weren't common until like 300 years ago and are only common in the west but knives in some form exist in all societies.

I don't plan meals but watch my food budget. In a year I went from spending an average of 545 a month (sometimes more) to spending under 300 a month.

I dont give a shit anon. I eat vegetables because I get high off of it. Gives me a ton of dopamine or something I dunno. When I eat other fatty foods I feel like shit and sad and fat. So I eat like this. I don't care about stupid ass farm animals.

I shop online and look through the produce and butchery section and just get what's priced well and what looks good. I'll usually plan one or 2 meals when shopping but for the most part I freestyle when I cook.
I always have coconut cream on hand to make curry. I make a curry about once a week.

Nah I ate a pizza slice last night with italian sausage. I just think its good to try to lean that way because I'll eat better overall. But in reality I eat meat or dairy once every 3 days or less.

I guess no one does anything too special or attentive here. Just buy some foods you know you'll make.

I mean, vegetables are good and all but I don't get a high off it.

The foods that make me feel the best are actually organ meats and my ducks eggs.

Had 2 of my ducks eggs early this morning with nothing else and didn't feel the need to eat again for 7 hours.
If I eat oatmeal with some fixings I'm hungry in like 30 minutes.

I don't really plan out my meals too much, it's moreso defined by what I decide to buy. I never buy soda or chips or frozen food, only thing that could be called junk that I buy is chocolate baking chips because I'm addicted and I need some kind of sugar in my life.

Otherwise, I'll just buy whatever veggie or meat is on sale or catches my eye. I tend to not eat too much meat because it's healthier and cheaper and also meat is a bitch to clean up after cooking. I also have a lot of condiments that I use in cooking or on sandwiches. I do have some instant noodles that I usually reserve for points when I'm too tired or busy to cook. I will also freeze my own cooked food for later use if I make too much of it or I wanna save some for another time

I eat the same thing every day, just about:
Day 1:
>chicken, carrot and egg sandwich.
>lunch is an egg salad and some beans, yogurt and oats
>dinner is roughly 500g of minced beef, 400g of black beans, an onion or two, 6-8 eggs, some rice
add in protien shakes and wala
the ultimate autism diet
I do 2000-3000 kcal workouts every other day.
About six months in to this diet, gained about 10kg of lean muscle, I can still do a 12k run in <5min/k, and all my lifts have gone up about 80 kg.
A regular gym session has me do around 150 squats or 150 deadlifts, 45 minutes of high intensity cardio, and an hour or so of accessory lifts.
