What normie-teir stuff can I cook with Turmeric? I've been drinking Turmeric tea from Vahdam and I really like the flavor. I don't want turmeric-black-pepper pills, I'm in it for the flavor. But it's a unique and strong flavor that doesn't mix too well with my usual fare.

What kind of easy soups/sides/etc can I make that has a Turmeric-forward character? Any other brands of Turmeric tea?

Goes well in rices and pilafs, curries, and I like it sprinkled on broccoli or cauliflower.

I know it's in curry, but I never really had a curry where the Turmeric shone through because there are so many other spices. I guess I need to pump those numbers up because I see now there's a lot of recipes online for "Turmeric Curry" that have a ton of it in comparison to the other spices.

Thanks, I need to cook fish more, pretty much never do. I almost forget it's a thing at the grocery store because the selection of beef/pork/chicken is always so much better. Half the markets around where I live only sell Tilapia...

I love the tea but didn't think to try it in coffee. It sounds terrible if I'm honest, but it's interesting enough that I'm going to try it anyway. Thanks.

Why do you care about tasting it?

>> No.15575008

I've been mixing it in my smoothies as a supplement. It's neutral enough that you dont really taste it.

One of the weirdest questions yet... why does anyone care about tasting anything? Because I like the taste. Maybe since it's new to me.

I'm in Morocco right now, Essaouria. Just bought a giant bag of tumeric for 50 cents in the medina market. I used it to season some fresh fish I just fried. Any other ideas?

Primarily because nutrition research is pathetically underfunded and human bodies are incredibly complex that it's difficult to nail something so specific down. That being said, circumin in turmeric is one of the most promising anti-cancer compounds we know.
