When I attended University of Hawaii Hilo, they had this breakfast at the cafeteria called a "Fried Rice Deluxe" which was fried rice with bits of bacon in it with a fried egg sitting on top.

The egg was always perfect and the fried rice amazing. I remember going to sleep thinking about getting up and eating it. I have not had such thoughts about any other breakfast.

It's probably because caffeine has the opposite effect on me and I spent years working at coffee/tea shops, so I had to customarily drink something. That being said, the only coffee I recall loving was this Bali blend that we got and it worked so well as a pour over, but it was fine as a manual drip (weak version of an espresso shot).

Cook it in the oven on a baking sheet with some parchment paper. It's easier, you have all the room you need to stretch the bacon out, and you won't need to wash the pan. Just keep an eye on it and flip when it looks like it's halfway done cooking. The meat part will start to look darker and the fatty parts will curl.

I'll explain it to you.
First of all it's not an exclusively British thing, you can get a breakfast like that anywhere in North America - except without the mushrooms, tomato, beans, or white/black pudding.
None of those things are particularly high in calories, including the pudding believe it or not, because half of it is oats and breadcrumbs. In terms of macronutrients, it's gonna be similar to some bread and butter.
Eggs are not particularly high in calories.
The portions of bacon are small.
Ham is low in fat, mostly protein.
~40% of those calories come from the NASTY fucking breakfast sausage, the very worst kind of sausage
Cut those out and all you're left with is the aforementioned plus some toast and potato. It's not as bad as you're making it out.

The small black specks on the eggs are fresh ground black pepper. But I did fry the eggs after the bacon (grease was poured off) and with some butter, so there are bound to be some bacon bits and browned butter.
