Does it actually taste like salted caramel milkshake or is that just marketing fluff?

And if it does taste like milkshake, is that some artificial flavouring that they add to the beer after the brewing process?

I'm guessing it's just marketing fluff, like "tastes of notes of milkshake" sort of thing.

It's because ale has become a fashion statement for instagram soys and hipsters, but they need sugary flavours and WACKY artwork to entice them to drink it

Oh thanks, that’s really nice of you
>takes a sip
>it’s probably garbage tasting, since milkshake ipas are usually way too sweet and salted caramel does not mesh well with hops as a flavor profile
>oh that’s definitely interesting! Thanks dude

I've never had this specific beer but similar one's I had are very sweet and you can taste the caramel/whatever other flavor it has.

You would never think it was a milkshake, but it approximates it (its thick and sweet) but it still taste like its beer just a very sweet, weird beer.

“Thanks, anon!”
>this is the part where I would open the beer and drink it
Or similarly:
“Ah I’m good, man. Thanks for offering though!”

If you’re genuinely autistic enough to sperg out about it, it’s unlikely you’d find yourself in a situation where you’d be politely offered a beer anyway.

Interesting

So it's some artificial flavour that's added to the beer presumably?

The answer is typically kinda but not really. It's more like they do things that make it taste like you mixed in a little bit of whatever crazy flavor into a beer. Any beer that has milkshake in it is just beer with lactose added, goes well with stouts and such but not a fan of it in an IPA.
