Can someone tell me a healthy breakfast that will keep me full for longer than an hour? I usually eat cereal (which has a lot of sugar, even the adult stuff like honey bunches), oatmeal (i add brown sugar to plain oatmeal) or a banana + peanut butter.

Any other suggestions?

You need protein to stay satiated. 4 eggs and 2 brown toast.

Sunny Side Up or scrambled?

over night oats (soaked in water with salt), made from old fashioned oatmeal
add chia seed pudding (chia seed soaked in water/real fruit juice) on top
put in bowel smeared with greek yogurt and some preserves

do this in reversed order for an overnight, extra easy, filling breaky. customize all parts with what flavors you want but don't change the core ingredients for sweeter variants. makes you gay.

if you want to eat cereal then make sure you use full fat milk for the better satiation and vitamin D content.

or you know, black coffee and a cigarette

Eat some form of tuna/chicken/egg/greek yogurt as a breakfast. You can eat oatmeal too, just go easy on the milk, maybe opt for making them in water instead, and watch how much sugar you add. Instead of sugar add some fruit in there instead. Be careful with bananas, shouldn't put more than one if that's your fruit you're having for breakfast or else you might as well have just eaten the sugary cereal anyway. You can have oats plus the banana and peanut butter, but just go easy on the PB. Think a modest scoop of PB, not a dollop.

This is interesting, with the tuna/chicken/egg.
A basic and dumb question of mine would be then:
Is protein then key to feeling full on less?

>> No.15449902

Oatmeal + protein should be super satiating. I'm guessing you're just a fatass.

Pretty much, but don't rely on it too much. You'd probably have to eat a couple of eggs if only eggs is what you're going to have, so that's when you incorporate high density but low calorie foods. 2 eggs, turn into omelet, add tomatoes+spinach+onion+salt and pepper. Use minimal oil, the smallest amount you can get away with, if any. Now you have a balanced meal with lots of protein and vegetables, and since the vegetables beef up the omelet you feel really full for just under 300 calories. A serving of greek yogurt with low calorie fruits like strawberry, raspberries, clementine. I'd be careful with the fruit, like I said bananas are high calorie compared to other fruits so just do a really quick google search before you start adding things. You can still have the banana and yogurt obviously but now you're more conscious of adding other things, like skipping adding granola or honey too.

Why do people feel the need to be full all the time? Just skip breakfast like a normal person.

You need proteins and fiber to fill you up.
Oatmeal, or something like it for fiber. Meat or eggs for protein.
Avoid carbs, added sugars, highly processed starches (i.e. cereal) these burn fast and will leave you empty.

chop up some of this and put it in your fruit loops. it's bland but the cereal has enough sugar to cover for it
