Open fire grilled steak is great despite it being a bit difficult to get a perfect medium rare due to uneven heat/no heat control. But it makes such a unique flavor. I just put mine on the fire and cook them, then season afterward as the flame would burn your seasonings. Doesn’t get any more simple.

It's extremely durable, handles heat great, easy to clean, nonstick, and you can season it after cooking with the fat of whatever you just cooked in it.

I've only campfire cooked my own catches of the day once, it was cod, eel, and sandshark. Was really tasty and the smoke always adds another dimension of flavour.

When I'm camping in the back acres I do often bring shrimps and teriyaki chicken thighs and stuff and after a night of boozing it really hits the spot

I hunt morels every year. The most popular way to cook them is cut the stem off and cut them in half lengthwise. Dip in egg wash then into ground up crackers. I use saltines or ritz crackers. Fucking delicuous.
