Pure H2O is to acidic. It will fuck you up. Normal h20 is full of impurities that make it basic and non harmful for your organs. So yes
you have to artificially remineralize it. If you look at bottled water some brands say that they were artificially remineralized and not from the springs. Other good option is collecting rain h2o, you will be ok with just boiling it and also remineralizing it. You could technically also use ozone (O3) and black light instead of boiling it. And after boiling it to preserve the h20 without bacteria, virus, fungus and parasites for longer.

"pure water" is going to be 7.0 pH. black tea has a pH of 5, and you could drink black tea as you only source of water forever. it doesn't matter. your stomach acid is so buffered that it's going to make effectively zero difference if you're drinking ammonia or lemon juice. once it's in your stomach, it doesn't matter.

minerals are for taste, not for anything else. distilled water tastes like plastic. it's gross.

Our water is from 285 foot deep well out front and it tastes good and it is all i drink and cook with but i think is is tapped into a Himalayan salt mine because if i skip cleaning sink for a while there is trace pinkish mineral deposit film.

I dont think it is rust. the toilet tanks are rust free but they do collect dark silty type stuff that i rinse away every couple years. The pink sink stuff wipes away pretty easilly and whatever it is, it is sometimes faint shades of blue too. Should get water test done.

I used to live in Sotckholm, Sweden and there the water is great out of the tap - no in-house filter needed. Now, I live in LA and the water tastes like a dirty swimming pool. Because of this, I have water delivered to this rented water fountain for cheap every week. They clena it once a month too. This works fine for me. I used to rock the britta pitchers but the filters run out really quick and it's just a hassle honestly - same with my fridges inbuilt filter.

I get tap water and filter it out and then drink from a glass bottle. I keep reading about microplastics getting in the body and I'm worried about what the future repercussions would be from items that don't degrade for hundreds of years.
