Overall with Japanese cuisine I do enjoy the simplicity of it. Fish on rice, steak and onions over rice, fried pork chop with curry, soups and stews loaded with cabbage and mushrooms and carrots with some paper thin sliced pork mixed in. It's all really easy to make at home, tastes delicious, is cheap, and makes normies think you're some kind of exotic master chef because "whooaaa this Japanese thing is sooooo mystical".
I am stepping my game up to Korean cooking next, I've started incorporating Korean fusion into my Jap cooking and it's been a hit, so I'm slowly easing my way into full K-cooking.
