Our culture is a working culture without any of the strong moral principles (atleast anymore, we used to have them) that youd see in other hard working countries like in asia. what this means is both parents are working, rarely raising their kids or teaching them anything, burnt out and angry as fuck when they are around them, and generally bad role models whenever given the chance. its a vicious cycle from here. You throw a tantrum, your dad belts you, and your siblings laugh it off as best they can because it's an awkward situation having a little brother who behaves as selfishly as you. You then start crying, and your mom at this point just has to accept that you've ruined the nice dinner she's prepared. It breaks her heart. Your dad then decides you should no longer be able to play games that he bought with his own money (and technically owns) and destroys them in order to teach you to appreciate what you have (something you don't learn). And then you act like a further drama queen by sitting alone as your family rightfully ignores your attention whoring ass.
