1/2 c of chix broth or water
1/2 tsp sugar

spicy mustard glaze
2 tbsp spicy brown mustard
2 tsp of black pepper, cumin and worcestershire sauce, each
1.5 tsp of garlic powder and mustard powder, each

apricot glaze
2 tsp of dijon mustard and cider vinegar, each
1/4 c apricot jam

honey mustard
equal parts honey and yellow mustard, add paprika and basil

Use honey or real maple syrup as the sweetener if you are out of brown sugar. Glazes should be basic. Sweetener, brown mustard, little bit of cider vinegar, and some salt/msg. People always over complicate these things.

Also you can use jams/jellies as well. Apricot works really well.
