I went into a dangerous neighborhood to try it, and it was worth it.

Compared to CFA:

Was honestly really, really good.

The meat actually tastes/feels like fried chicken, instead of the grade school chicken nugget style patty found at CFA.

Popeye's fries are very good. Other sides like cajun rice, mashed potatoes and gravy, and red beans and rice are all better than sides from KFC or Church's in my opinion

Maybe ask for extra sauce, can be a bit dry without it.

It was just okay and I had that sleepy fast food bloat after. Haven't considered going back for another one, I'd rather get some cheap ass McDonald's cheeseburgers

I like Popeye's chicken sandwich better than other chicken sandwiches, elsewhere.

The combination of a somewhat sweet brioche bun, with a pretty thick chicken breast coated with a good crunch, coupled with thick, vinegar-y pickles and a good amount of spicy mayo... makes almost all other fast food joints, compete with this chicken sandwich. It's a game changer.
