Honestly, I was somewhat repulsed when my ex-wife told me that her mother makes a "good" mayonnaise cake, and I'm a long-time career cook. I'd simply never heard of it before. When given the chance to try it, I couldn't even tell that there was mayo in it.
As anon above said, mayonnaise is little more than emulsified egg and oil.

It has seasonings too. Normally I wouldn't put fucking paprika, garlic, pepper, onion, etc in a fucking chocolate cake. If you want to use oil and egg then just fucking add oil and egg. Those ingredients already exist without having to resort to fucking mayonnaise. Don't be retarded.
