One time I went to a Chinese buffet in the deep hood for lunch near a job site I was working on. It was the usual dime a dozen buffet, surprisingly no worse than any others in terms of food selection, quality, and overall cleanliness of the place. The reason I remember it to this day however is their sushi. I grabbed one roll to try it out, as I couldn't recognize the protein they'd put in it. It was ham. This one place closed down in Englewood, where I used to live. Not because of the health code violations. Because the place was always full of mexicans fistfighting over fucking crab legs. I miss the Chinese place near my house more than I miss certain dead relatives. They had the best buffet sushi. I would do the exact same thing every time I went. One plate filled 2 layers deep with sushi pieces. Soy and wasabi on the side. When I was done with that plate, I'd have a second plate filled with a combination of general tso chicken, coconut shrimp, beef and broccoli, 2 egg rolls, and 2 of those chicken on a stick things. When I was done with that I'd have a plate of the 'dessert sushi'. Basically fruit and cheesecake wrapped in sweetened rice and drizzled with fruit syrup. Absolutely delicious. I'd eat that meal for dinner every Tuesday and Thursday every single week. I still drive past the building every day. I literally cried in my car when I first saw the for sale sign. Thanks for this, reading the link from the FDA shows that medical staff using the test are not following the instructions, as well as fucking up the handling of the batches. There is a paragraph down there that says if this is done properly 20 out of 100 test shows come up as false positives, that isn't 50%.
You can chalk up the test showing 50% false positive because of human error.

Reading through the cdc document, I can't see anything that says that the mask reduces your chance of getting it, they just recommend to help stop the spread. I can't argue with you on that then, but I also don't see a problem with wearing the mask. I think I have also been conditioned by fear to go outside without wearing it now.

About the deaths, from the numbers being shown on the site you provided proves at least a 10k more death rate then 2019, except an april where it was almost 100k. Just an initial look at it proves your point wrong, but also the data set isn't fully there so I don't think either you or I can really argue if this virus is killing more than normal.
