I don't live in the US, and I don't think I've ever seen a product from Michigan being sold here (UK).

I see a lot of hot sauces from the US south west, a lot of beer from all over the US, quite a lot of bourbon, a lot of Texas / southern BBQ bullshit, and a lot of new york / portland hipster shit.

Couldn't name a single brand / foot item from michigan. I've heard of Detroit Pizza, but that's about it.

Southern michigan might have less hunters but it also has far less deer. As you go north you get less densely populated and that's where most white tails are. One of the best things michigan does is take it's wilderness resources seriously to ensure future generations can enjoy them. The DNR did the right thing to combat CWD spread.
