Great for shakshuka, Throw everything in an oven to roast, and then transfer to a pot and blend the shit out of it.
Turn on heat and wait 10 mins.
Break eggs into the hot mixture and wait like 6 mins for it to be done.

I don't know if they're really called soups, but i make tomato soups, broccoli soups with it, stuff where you do need to have them broken down into a paste, i like em a lot with some nice crunchy bread
unlike other anons i don't use it for shakshuka or mayo (guess mayo would make sense tho)
if you also got the chopper bowl attachment thing, you can very easily make some muhammara using it

Anything you would use in a blender pretty much... get a tall slender measuring vessel and benefit from it.
I use it for soups mostly. Salad dressings, purees, smoothies. Most some with an attachment that's like a spice or coffee grinder which is nice. Don't ever get a plastic one, useless trash not even sure why they are allowed to be sold.

play with the proportions to find the flavor you like. Blend some mint leaves if you want another extra flavor layer.

Yes, with immersion blenders you can blend food in the same pot it just cooked in and you have full control over the blending to make sure it's consistent (just move your hand dummy),

Conventional blenders get food stuck in the corners that doesn't blend, they constantly blow their lid, they are a bitch to clean, and you also have to clean whatever utensil you used to scoop the food into the blender and also clean the countertops because some food always drips and misses the blender.

Immersion blenders for life, dawg.

It only tends to happen if you put a bunch of piping hot food into the blender. It stops being an issue if you have the patience to let your food cool a bit, but still another advantage for the immersion blender.

>take a mug that the blender tip just barely fits into
>dump in one smashed clove of garlic
>dump in a fat pinch of salt
>grind in some pepper
>add some red pepper flakes
>add a pinch of oregano
>add a good two tablespoons of olive oil
>blitz once
>add as much diced canned tomatoes as you can fit in the mug without the blender making things spill over
>blitz the whole thing together
>let sit in the fridge for a day

I don't use it much otherwise, but from time to time it's nice for blending cashews for a lovely thick curry sauce.

Creamed corn. Frozen corn works fine, obviously better when in season.
>melt butter in pan
>fry corn until heated through (takes longer if frozen)
>add milk
>add heavy cream
>salt and pepper
>bring it to a simmer for a few minutes then remove from heat
>grate an ounce or two of parmesan into it
>blend until desired consistency
It won't be perfectly smooth but close enough, a few chunks are fine.
