Volume is your friend, you want a full belly for relatively few calories. Low cal soups are pretty good, pea soup (skip the bacon/ham) can fill you up and has good brotein.

Water or make your own vegetable or chicken stock (skim the fat). The peas themselves thicken and flavor the soup

Standard carrot, onion, garlic, celery. If you want to use greens like bok choy in a soup something like white beans or lentils might be better suited, but they start the same way with carrot/onion/garlic/celery. Basically all high protein, high fiber (filling), low calorie.

Heavily spiced dishes. Look into thai/indian curries (No, they all don't need shit like coconut milk), you can load them up with a ton of veggies too, they're delicious, and with a big enough pot you can make a shit ton at once in case you're into prepping several meals. You can also make a turkey based chili. I'm sure you can find some healthier broths out there, but you can just use water in some chili recipes.

Follow Chef John's chili as a base since it doesn't require broth and you can just crush your own tomatoes to avoid all the added shit companies add to the cans. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/278905/firehouse-chili-and-cornbread-casserole/

chicken thighs and lamb are a staple for me for meats.

sweet potatoes are great too, esp. when given time to steam and simmered alongside onions and other aromatics.

Other than that I'm a fairly simple salt and pepper man. Eggs are also a favorite, other than french omelets and french scramble I don't really know any unique ways of incorporating them into my cooking.

>if you're cutting just eat whatever you want but less of it.
this is perhaps the most retarded piece of advice people use here if you stay at the same carb/fat/protein ratio you are going to lose far more muscle than you need to, you need much higher levels of protein to prevent muscle loss during a cut.

my carbs come from exactly 3 sources:
White rice
Potatoes
Sweet potatoes
And I take my coffee black and I'm not a child so sweets aren't a part of my diet either. a couple of dates every now and then is the only sugar source I get.
>>add fruits and vegetables
come on nigga give me some fucking credit you think I don't know how to have a clean diet? I'm only cutting for my holiday in Dubai. I wanna look ripped on the beach.

>> No.15218589

The first thing is throw the 10lb frozen bag of chewy stringy chicken breasts in the trash, and get some chicken thighs instead. They taste massively better and can be very easily baked, it's worth the slightly higher proportion of fat (which is what makes it taste better). There are a million marinated chicken thigh recipes you could try.

>> No.15219065

>>15218511
You should really consider lentils and split peas. Both are some of, if not the highest fiber/protein contents of carbs, which is useful to hit your macros on a cut, while also being delicious.

Red/yellow lentils and split peas break down into creamy soups/stews easily without having to add cream products. Perfect for winter time too. Green/black lentils retain their texture if you want something that eats more like a grain/rice.

Get rid of the white rice, it's essentially useless. At least switch to brown rice at a minimum.

>> No.15219188

>>15218589
I'm in agreement with you there, the chicken thigh is far superior in terms of taste, but I usually buy a whole chicken and just feast on that for 2 days anyway.
>>15219065
I really should but I always forget to soak them overnight lol
