I don't really get drunk on wine, I drink it because I like the taste. When I want to get drunk I will buy a six pack of beer, or break out a bottle of vodka. A bottle of vodka will last me 2-3 weeks. I will have 2-6 beers a week. I get drunk 2-3 times a week. Buzzed maybe 1 or 2 days. Sober 1 or 2 days.

How do you people drink so fucking much? I come from a family of alcoholics on both sides. The disease is in my veins yet it baffles me how people abuse their bodies like this.

I enjoy a glass or two of beer at dinner, or even a glass of scotch neat when socializing, but getting anything beyond a buzz is such a chore. If you want to stay drunk you need to keep drinking, which takes away from being able to just enjoy the high, and the hangover the next day is always debilitating and makes it never worth it.
