I've never had to install anything to use MEGA. Open the link in a recent Firefox, it asks if you want to save to your account in their cloud or download it to your computer, click on the download to your computer thing, it takes twenty minutes and eventually you get to click the "save file" popup dialog button.

I have no idea what sort of shit it's doing in the background while it "decrypts" its file data, but I guess they had to do a bunch of stupid crap after the U.S. government went after them for copyright infringement.

I'm one for sure and find that most recipes I stumble upon are not intended to be actually reproduced. Vagueness in amounts, implicit assumptions of critical steps, etc. They are just personal stickies most of the time, implying the author ever executed what he wrote.
