I am an American yet I do not know a single person who has this plastic cheese product in their fridge.
This stuff is eaten by people over 60 and young people who have never even considered going to college.
Most cheese eaten by educated middle class americans is of the highest quality available on the planet.
We either import it or make it in small batches on organic farms.
The best cheeses you can possibly buy anywhere are available in any major US city and much of it is made in the USA.
France has stopped allowing us to enter cheese and wine blind tasting competitions because they cannot compete.
That is all for now

The reason Americans got the stereotype of not being able to make actual cheese and that all we have is kraft singles comes from government programs in the 1970s-80s. Before we figured out food stamps, the government would just straight up send people food. One of these was government cheese which was basically the equivalent of kraft singles but in a giant brick and was much firmer. For whatever reason, whatever our poorest eat becomes what foreigners think everyone here eats, it's like thinking that all chinese people eat dog.

Actually I kind of like Kraft singles (haven't tried Velveeta) but I'm just guessing they aren't good for you seeing as they don't really behave like real cheese should but they are pretty tasty though just really expensive (if you eat a lot of cheese) unless you buy a bigpack of some generic brand if you have a store that stocks it near you that is.

The primary difference between it and "real cheese" is just some emulsifiers like sodium citrate or sodium hexametaphosphate that relax the proteins and allow the cheese to be soft and melty. They're pretty boring and common salts that are used in a variety of foods, and you can add them to any cheese to give them the same properties.

But Kraft should get a bunch of shit for selling Malaco the fucks and Mondelēz can fuck off for (well I'm going to blame them for the changes to the factory either way) adding soy and coconut bs among other shittiness with the recipes making it all taste but most importantly feel worse when you have it in the mouth.

Always loved and never forgotten, now it is almost time for your day of glory (christmas) only to forever be a reminder of how much worse and hollow the world (of chocolate) will forever be without your glorious presence why couldn't it have been you who rose again after the wicked slew you oh almighty "Trillingnöt", will the pain ever heal ah "Trillingnöt".

Pic related is how to improve the second layer or the Alladinbox.

Never thought Marabou of all would be the ones to make Christmas worse but you know what I'm blaming Kraft and both selling Malaco and removing the "Trillingnöt" are such grave offences (even worse than the Coca-Cola Companies pathetic attempts of trying to get people to drink Coke instead of "Julmust" during winter and especially the holidays) that you know what just fuck those evil rotten bastards, sure the Malaco thing I guess I learned how to live with seeing as they still exist it just seemed like a retarded decision but making the "Trillingnöt" kill which impacts fuckin' Christmas of all things is just plain evil.

What are you talking about stores in cities have a great amount of choice when it comes to products and a lot better prices than the countryside plus bigger stores (lower prices from the distributors/producers, bigger selections and the ability to lower the prices and still make a shit ton of money due to the lowered prices on products, lower rents and large amounts of customers that flock to you) usually opt to put themself outside of city centers to keep costs down but usually there are a bunch of parking spaces and buses/trains pretty much always stop there.

I mean if you buy food items at your local little kiosk at a huge markup fine but don't fucking compain about it, if you're unlucky enough to live at the countryside where you often don't even have a choice but have to buy at the poorly stocked overpriced shitty stores then yes those people I do pity because it sucks but anyone living in a city rofl give me a break they don't realize how freakin' lucky they are

Also what would what you propose ever prove other than the store manager and employees being retards and do you have any freakin' idea how much time and effort it takes to market a "new" item to your potential customers, it doesn't really take much work as not much really does you pretty much tell people what to do and they do it for some reason but it just doesn't happen like that and takes time.

ok, but that is extremely unusual with how US cities are layed out. Most poor communities are rather sequestered from the normal people, this is obviously less true in the south where people are just much poorer overall

Where on earth are you finding cheese that doesn't melt, like seriously O.o

>>15144330
Yes really great stores do exist in the countryside but they are often very few and real far in between unfortunately which is one of the shittiest things about living on the countryside well that and no work, too silent, too few people, too little that happens and so on

>>15144343
True because pretty much everything about a city is great when it comes to living there while the countryside is pretty shitty and boring and the suburbs/inner city has such a great range of things to choose from with such ridicoulusly low prices that I can't help from wanting to stomp every spoiled citydweller that ever have the nerve to complain about ANYTHING about their lives fucking cunts, try throwing away years at the countryside instead of complaining you assholes.

*Stomp in the face of course

The only thing that is worse is when immigrants complain about how sorry people should feel for them buhuu their oppressed and buhuuhuu when they have whole fucking areas close to the city center and just because they aren't necessarily billionares they are so oppressed, get over your bullshit or get out and let people from the country get some fucking prime realestate and jobs you fucking ungrateful parasites (no it's not rascist because that goes for everyone with that fucking victim mentality not only immigrants and I guess it's the politicians, companies that can profit from pretty much slave labour, banks that can lend out more money at interest seeing as grown up people flood the country that all of a sudden can take loans instantly and gets a whole bunch of money to burn as soon as they get in and everyone that have worthless makebelieve jobs that are dependent on it and everyone that supports it and not them themselves as they are more like cattle being manipulated and sold in a sense), it's just bullshit that they get a home in the best parts of the country with the most jobs and a clean slate so they could take loans if they want to for some reason a whole bunch of money from the state not to mention all the economical help if they want to start a company while people born here have to wait in line to hopefully get an apartement it 8-12 years while having hard times to even find work during that time because of living in shitty areas of the country.

It's all just bullshit and I am sick and tired of hearing you morally bankrupt idiots dividing the people into classes, trying to put people in a specific folder so to speak and put people against eachother while flooding the country with immigrants that I don't really have anything against but can't stand hearing about how they are somehow oppressed when they get a fucking red carpet out and are treated like royalty but are never freakin' happy

no, the entire point of American cheese is that the oils don't separate like other cheeses that leave you with a greasy mess.

Every person I know who uses American cheese uses it in Macaroni or for burgers.
Macaroni specifically for the "melty" texture and not the taste, which is essentially a shitty white cheddar and thus gets covered by actual cheeses while still being melty. For burgers, it's almost a similar reason too except it doesn't have the flavor hidden by a superior cheese unless the cheese slice paired with the american cheese is also cheddar.

It's a good thing to add to any grilled cheese along with other cheeses even. The citrating salts that make it melt smooth work to emulsify other cheeses as well.

this thread is tl;dr but I think enough Americans are self-aware of the plastic cheese. the next people to bully are the ones that buy pre-grated cheese.
