Generic hipflasks look cool, but why has nobody solved the issue with the metallic taste yet? Surely it should be possible to line them with glass by now.

>> No.15142966

Laff, why are you seething over a simple question? It's common knowledge that metals leech into drinks, pewter being the exception, at least it leeches less. A metal flask looks nice, and combined with glass insides it would avoid the problems metal causes. Carrying a glass bottle is dumb because in case it breaks there's no metal shell to keep the shards contained.

What the fuck are you talking about? Do you mean you can go to bars and restaurants and drink? Because every single state lets you do that. Do you mean you can walk around in public getting shit faced on the street and the police won't charge you with public intoxication? Because not one single state is like that.

I've always hated these fucking things. If you drink alcohol enough that you bring it with you places then you'll go through a hip flask in like two drinks. What the fuck is the point in them? I would need to refill the thing like 6 times. I like the idea of them but it's such a small quantity of alcohol.

This is a standard hip flask from approximately 140 years ago i.e. a flask of cheap whisky that was thrown away as consumed. I just measured and it holds about 6.7 ounces. The ones in ops picture were originally highly crafted status symbols and turned into worthless meme shit like wine flasks

There are a range of sizes produced.
The 2 ounce is practically useless.
6 or 8 ounce is barely workable if you're a light drinker.
16 ounce was my usual carry. I was not a light drinker.
24 ounce came to be my usual flask. Perfect size for my busy alcohlism.
64 ounce is a bit of a novelty size; we mainly used it to carry a handle (1.75L) of liquor on camping trips to "glass strictly prohibited" destinations, although I did have a set of pockets that could hold it; thank you Carhartt.

Both, the cap usually goes after a week or so but I fix it by sealing it with paper towels on the threads when I screw it on, however after a month, the bottom always starts leaking.
I've been in way too many meetings in front of clients and all of the sudden my pants are soaked in fucking bourbon
