Same. I have found safe-haven in the world of hefeweizen/weißbiers. Erdinger and Weihenstephaner in particular are amazing.
Sam Adam's seasonals and Sam '76 are delicious.
Oatmeal stout tastes like milk.
Most bock style beers I've tried were decent.
Oktoberfest (märzen) beers are great.
Scotch ales are very strong but have little to no bitterness from my experience.
