Sure you were bud, but I'll bite. Ublock only works with firefox on mobile, which is a bit of a bummer since firefox started messing stuff around. Search ublock origin for it. If you download f-droid you can also get blokada from there, which blocks ads on pretty much all apps. Youtube is an exception unfortunately, but the ads aren't really bad a five or less seconds.

I'll admit, though, the current version of Firefox sucks doggy balls, and not in a good way. That's why I refuse to upgrade. A lot of sites break because of that, but I have a copy of a current release available if I'm absolutely forced to view some shitty website that requires current JS features.

A vast majority have a “Skip to Recipe” button at the top, or lacking that, just hit “End” on your keyboard and scroll up.

As for why they do it, its generally so they can intersperse their stories with a plug for a sponsor or two, cross link to another recipe that would be complimentary to this one, etc. Its annoying but it gets the other middle aged housewives to keep clicking so it makes sense, from the standpoint of the owner. Plus Im sure some of them once they hit a certain level of fame have ghostwriters who type all that shit up, I dont expect Ree Drummond to type all that shit up once ever other day.
