I like cooking a lot but I have no real formal training. I'm 28, currently working in tech (making a ton of money, something like 9x percentile income in the country) but I kinda want to open a food business in the next 10-ish years, how stupid is that?

At least do community College culinary arts courses. Even if you pull through and learn to make restaurant quality food, the business side is a whole other beast. If you really don't want any schooling, you can work your way up chain and start as a dish washer. This route sucks though and 9 times out of 10 makes people drug addicts.

If you really, really NEED to sell your shitty food to feel happy get some transportable kitchen stuff and sell vegan wraps on some "progressive" (aka whereever the SJW girls and their enablers go to) music festival on the weekends. You just make it evn if you are good, and when you realize that this shit is actaual hard work in itself, and additionally you have this whole self employed accounting bullshit, you can get out of it with just a few k burned and still have job.
