The best part is that the virus really isn't even a big deal and we fucked ourselves in the ass by reacting to it like it was going to wipe the entire country out.
Now we will be facing the consequences for the rest of our lives. Stupid faggots everywhere will demand you wear a mask to exist near them.

It's a bit of a pain yeah but so many of the people in charge are old fucks who were at the most risk, so it makes sense they'd overreact. I'm more mad at the economic impact and the mass corporate interests that got so much more out of it then everyone else- record years for so many companies. What a pain in the dick.

>> No.15046419

>>15046304
well sure, corporations need bailing out because they employ so many people that it wasn't worth risking otherwise. but it turned out they also can streamline and cut costs with all the working-from-home.

Despite partisan shitflinging, it really was a matter of making decisions that only seem wrong in hindsight. The real consequences we're feeling is the increased resentment between fellow countrymen.

Restaurant prices would have gone up regardless though. It's natural that people eat out less in a pandemic even if the government isn't enforcing it.

A business' purpose is to provide a service and make money while spending as little as they can. The literal job of upper management is to make the shareholders happy even at the expense of the lower level employees. I don't see why that is so confusing.

Although to support your point, Trader Joes is consistently ranked very high in terms of employee satisfaction and low turnover rates because they operate on a business model which emphasizes hiring from within, supporting employees and putting the needs of upper management and shareholders last, after customers and lower level employees.

People still talk about it. Infections are exploding right now, it’s nuts. We could be at a million infections a day in a month, at this rate. See the graph in this thread and note how quickly daily infections have been increasing—this is uncharted territory. Ask your friend to wear a mask if he needs to go inside, eat with him outside. This spreads far less easily outdoors because the corona virus particles don’t stick around long in the air.

I can't find any of the normal coronavirus threads. there used to be a general for it on /sci/ and that's gone now too. my hospital system is about to reach peak again and people in public are more non compliant than ever. used to be I would see one or two people with no masks when out at the store and now it's difficult not to end up with one of the people in line behind me at a register. I've abandoned my shit and left a store before because of that shit I hate it. both of my roommates are grocery store workers which sucks dick. there's not much I can do. Maybe you should grow a pair of balls and get the food yourself you fucking pussy. Do you think "hospitals reaching capacity" is some unprecedented thing? It happens in every bad flu season. The flu which magically disappeared globally. Your own cuck chart says COVID-19 positive which is irrespective of their actual condition or reason for admittance. The fraudulent tests which have a pct rate that guarantee a positive 90%+ of the time, are given to every patient. It's why actual COVID affected patients make up a fraction of hospitalizations

There’s a general that’s often up on /pol/, if you can stomach that board. There’s been something like 5,000 threads (they keep track). A lot of fuckery goes on in it, but it has great and up to date information. Just do your best to stay safe. I don’t suppose you have n95 masks? With personal protective equipment, you don’t need to rely on the assholes in the store being mask compliant, to avoid inhaling coronavirus. I have 5 that I use for especially risky encounters, after putting them in a container for 7 days (to let any virus die off). If you’re young, you’ll probably be fine, even if you do get it. I’ll be honest with you, given the totally uncontrolled exponential trajectory the country is on, your friends’ jobs, and the lack of mask compliance, you’ll probably get it.

yeah I've got N95 masks because I get seasonal allergies and do woodworking so I've had a case of them in my garage for a few years. I have given some away and even gave my friend some so he has some. He works in a paint booth at a cabinet shop with 5 employees and works alone wearing PPE all day so I'm not super worried about him but his habits suck but I only know him because he takes part in risky behavior dealing. mostly I don't like supporting businesses who serve back to back customers with no masks on and do nothing at all about it. I've complained to a few places about it already. One place my roommate used to manage and I contacted the company owner and he didn't give a shit so I've just written that chain of gas stations off. Early on the grocery store wasn't requiring the coca cola vendors to require masks and it made my roommates uncomfortable so I called up the store manager on their behalf and then the state mask order came out a few days later so it was a bit of a non-issue.

I do fit test mine, buddy. I spray the air with ammonia, then walk through it. If I don’t smell it, I’m good. With regular masks, you’re missing the point. The purpose isn’t to protect the user, it’s to reduce the water droplets (which contain the virus that he/she breathes into the atmosphere. If everybody does that, less virus is in the air, and we are collectively safer.
