I prefer diluted, I also put 6 ice cubes in my cup so that when the coffee comes out it's immediately drinkable. I have a machine that takes k-pods but you can put in as much water as you want. I always put in around 425 mL - I like to sip compulsively at every cognitive pause when I'm working, so it makes sense to have a big cup of relatively weak coffee. I'll drink 3 or 4 these a day

I enjoy how it looks. It has perfect contrast by design because it's an emissive display, and it actually supports a surprisingly good array of resolutions. It does 1792x1344 at 68 hz, which is very close to 1440p (in 4:3 of course), and unlike LCDs, it doesn't have shitty cluster refreshes to deal with, so 68 hz actually looks pretty fucking smooth. I run it at 1024x768 at 116hz and it's amazing.

I also just like how 90s electronics looked. My speakers, keyboard, and mouse all fit the aesthetic, and I'm getting a case for my computer to match them better. I also have a Sony PVM which I use for my Genesis and Saturn. It's a 15 khz display, so it's got much stronger phosphor persistence, making it ideal for most classic games with colorful graphics. The CRT you see in the picture is quite different but it looks great in 31 khz mode (480p) for my Dreamcast. It even gets scanlines on 480p because of its high "resolution".

I have a plasma to the left of me that I use for movies and shit because it's bigger, but it's really hard to go back to that huge degrade in contrast over a CRT. It's often very distracting to watch something on it if there's a lot of dark scenes.

They had a bad reputation for being heavy as shit and not great resolution wise (consumer TVs were always 15 khz with composite inputs, rarely component, in stark contrast with professional TV-like monitors and computer monitors) so people were happy to ditch them for shit contrast, shit resolution and shit refresh LCDs in the 2000s. CRTs got really good in the 90s, but almost everyone was unaware of it. You had to be:

-in the broadcast or video production business
-an enthusiast with a graphics card capable of making use of the display (most weren't)
or
-a coder using one to make games

Kinda sucks cock and I wonder where CRTs would have gone if we didn't ditch them. This cheap thing I'm using is better in most ways than any consumer LCD made until like 2017

Also they have zero lag. I forgot to mention it.

Yeti makes insulated cups, this is an electric mug that heats liquid with a ceramic heater in the bottom.
You get the app that lets you control the temp. If I'm at my desk, its amazing, but if you're on the road you definitely can't take this thing because it needs to recharge every once in a while.
They do have a travel cup that is supposed to keep temp for 3 hours, but I just have the normal mug.
